HOW TO OVERCOME THE FEAR OF TAKING PICTURE OF PEOPLE IN STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

In this post i want to tell you how i overcome this fear which is a easy thing to do.

The first time i went out trying to do some street photography i was scared to get noticed and i was thinking a lot about how people would yell at me or start thinking ‘look at that weirdo’ or staff like that when i took pictures of them.

The first thing you should do it’s not go out with this mindset, cause most of the time people don’t notice you at all or don’t really care.

Don’t be scared!

If you think that a specific situation means something to you and will make a good picture try to concentrate at the final result not what can happen if someone will notice you.

Secondly you need to learn to be fast especially if you want to get candid pictures of people so you need to practice with your camera a lot and know exactly how your camera works.

Another thing i do it’s having some simple excuses or sentences to say if someone came to me upset, for example ‘I m doing a school project’ or something like that.If the person after that is still uncomfortable you just delete the picture and all will be fine.

So most of the problem is really a psychological one but i ensure you that once you will have the courage to take the first one and see how much better your pictures start to look you’ll find the courage every time it wll be worth it.

This are the things i would have told to myself when i started shooting street.I hope that this will help you!

Happy photography!

WHY YOU SHOULD USE VINTAGE LENSES ON VINTAGE CAMERA SYSTEMS

In the last few days i came around some lenses from my old film Pentax Spotmatic II, witch are m42 screw mount lenses, so i went on amazon and bought a lens adapter to use it with my Fujifilm xt2.

So why should someone want to use an old fully manual focus lens in this digital age?

I can justify it with one simple word: it is FUN!

It is not only fun to use this type of lenses but also many of this great lenses outputs great image quality and sometimes a unique look that you cant or hardly achieve with the latest manufactured lenses.

The build quality of this type of lenses is amazing since they are all metal made lenses.

The prices of most of this lenses are really cheap, so buying one will not break your bank.

I highly suggest you to go on eBay or some kind of vintage store nearby you to buy some of this lenses and experiment with them!

Have fun with your photography!
